>> Before beginning any activity, the trained and certified monitors will instruct the participant in the correct use of the equipment. If one is not familiar with any piece of the equipment, they need only ask the instructor. The correct use of the equipment assures your safety.
>> All of the equipment used is approved by the UIAA (International Union of Associations of Mountaineering).
>> Helmets may not seem necessary, but are very important in the case of an equilibrium episode or as protection from the heat. The harness, the pulleys with safety cables, the carabineers, and the gloves, complete the "Arvorismo Kit”. Depending on the activity, other types of equipment may be required.
>> Changing from one challenge to another is the moment that you have to be most careful. In changing from one obstacle to the next, you have to disconnect your carabineer from one safety cable and connect it to the next. A double cord is always used, assuring that when you disconnect one, the other will still be connected, guaranteeing your safety.
>> Nobody is forced to complete the course. Those that cannot continue can interrupt the course without any harm to the rest of the group. The length of the circuits varies, but the degree of difficulty increases with each phase.
>> The only factor that prevents anyone from participating in the adult Canopy Walk, is their height limitation. People with a height of less than five feet cannot participate, as they are unable to reach high enough to connect to the overhead safety cable. Starting from age ten, and at least five feet tall, children can participate, but only when accompanied by a responsible party.
